Estate Salesman (occ-3+) Place one of room, stable, field, fence tokens you choose on each one empty space of major improvements. Any player now can build/plow when they take the correspond token. You receive 2 VP when each token is taken by others not yourself. [View playtest games] [View all dealt games] |

I'm thinking about this idea: filling the empty space of Major improvements as new ones, and you get some return if other players take them. |

I make some fixing with words, hoping now it is a bit clear. Sorry I don't have good English. ![]() I mean now any player can take "Major/minor improvements" action space to build a room if he takes the room token you placed, and you'll get 2 vp for return if that's not you doing so.... you make a successful estate deal. |

| I'm not sure I understand the fence part - you're placing just 1 fence that someone can buy? And I'm assuming the stables and fences come from your supply while the rooms and fields come from the general supply? | Jul 4, 2011 2:45am [quote] (Edit: Jul 4, 2011 2:47am) |

This feels like a pretty neat idea, but I don't quite understand how it works. Does choosing the room token (is that just a room?) mean taking a "Build 1 Room" action? "Build Room(s)"? "Build Room(s) and/or Build Stables"? Or does it mean building that room as an improvement (so that different cards might affect the cost)? Or just putting that room onto your farm? If the latter, what if it's made of the wrong material? Does building one of these count as playing a (major) improvement for any purpose? Can you clarify how this card works? Also, could it be reworked to avoid having to track bonus points that can't be calculated from the final game state? |

I think I understand this better. It's a bit longer, but I'd phrase it as: On each empty space on the Major Improvement board, place 1 room, 1 field, 1 fence or 1 stable. Any player may use the "Major Improvement" action to take a token and Build rooms/Plow 1 field/Build fences/Build stables. If another player takes a token, you receive 2 Bonus points. (The placed fences and stables come from your supply.) Of course, I may be still misunderstanding a bit, and there is probably an even shorter text out there. I like this - it's a really neat idea! |
