"But it is considered one field..."

What does this mean? For scoring?

I think I understand the change. One can plant 2 Wood on it as sown Grain, but it only counts for 1 Field in scoring. For the regular Copse, we weren't allowed to count it for scoring. So the title change makes sense I guess. Now the card is worth 2 points during scoring. AND, it would count for 1 field for any required prerequisites (planted or not.) The power has increased.

Another tangent - this still raises the question about crops. I haven't got the new rules in front of me, but are "crops" only allowed to be Grain and Vegetables? Not trees (as in apple tree), wood, reed, etc.?

It does not count in scoring, according to the new wording that only counts "field tiles" in scoring. The rulebook mentions that during scoring of grain and vegetables, you include things on cards that self-identify as fields. I believe it "is considered 1 field" for prerequisites. lumin

Interesting. Is there any mention in the new rules about "crops"? wallfly

As written I think this line is problematic "it is considered 1 field"

Things that are considered fields can have crops planted on them.

Lookout responded very quickly over on BGG - the English version is indeed missing the sentence about only being able to sow wood.

That wouldn't even be neccessary, because new rules appendix says that crops are only grain and veggies (page 6), and field cards are only fields if they explicitly state themself as one (page 3).

The term "considered 1 field" (emphasis on "1") doesn't say it is a field like e.g. Beanfield with "this card is a field", but only that you could use it for example with a conditional sow action for only 1 field to get 6 wood on it instead of 3.
