PWR Filter v7.64

This new feature lets you restrict which cards get dealt out. You choose 2 numbers, the lowest PWR cards you will include and the highest PWR cards you will include.

Then in your game, any EGIKWm cards that are outside this range will NOT be dealt out. Note: the PWR filter does not effect decks Cz, O, PI, Z, NL, FL, WA, or added Collections. If you add these with the filter on, all those additional decks/Collections will be dealt out without any of their cards restricted.

The PWR filter always uses the most recent stats from these lists:
4-ER http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=2677

2-ER http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=2693

If an EGIKWm card is not on one of those lists, then we don't have stats on that card for that game size.  If the filter is turned on for that particular game size, then that card will be prevented from being dealt out (until some new version of stats has data). For solo games and 5-ER games, the system uses the 4-ER list.

The one exception is banned cards from this list:

All of the banned cards are assumed to have a PWR = 7.0. Therefore even if you uncheck the "-8" check box but you set a PWR filter from say, 4-6, the banned cards will still not be dealt out. To get the banned cards dealt out with the filter on, you must set the high PWR limit to at least 7.0. (However, Rat Catcher will never come out with the PWR Filter on.)

Currently, this feature is only turned on for a few people's accounts. We're still testing it out. If it is turned on for your account, you will see a new button called [PWR Filter] just above the [Use Hand Variants] button (on main page where you create a game).

No, it will not. When I calculate statistics in the future, I will remove all games that used the PWR Filter from the calculation.

if the PWR filter is used alot, or more often by experienced players, that would mean messing with the PWR =)

I've played a few games with this filter on other people's games and have really enjoyed it. When you think it will be available for all to use? (I'd be a keen user of it!).

What figures are actually looked at for the pwr filter? i just played a game with 1.3 to 5, and somehow brags appeared as well?
it didn't really tilt the game in that player's favour, but just surprised it gets included.

Yea, Brags is PWR 5.0 according to the most recent stats. For 4-ER games, it uses the most recent stats (not most comprehensive) in this thread:

Might be a problem with the filter for some decks.

Yesterday played an all-decks Power 0-2 game, and some of the minors were clearly not supposed to be there--e.g. Begoune Courtyard.

If you read the first post in this thread, you will see that the Power Filter only removes cards from the decks EGIKW, it does not affect any other deck(s). Therefore if you add the FL-Deck to a game that is Power Filtered, all of the FL-Deck is still mixed in.
