This new feature lets you restrict which cards get dealt out. You choose 2 numbers, the lowest PWR cards you will include and the highest PWR cards you will include.

Then in your game, any Bi Cz E FL Fr G I K NL O Pi Wa Wm Z card that is outside this range will NOT be dealt out. But note: the PWR filter does not effect decks D-, G4, G5, or added Collections. If you add these with the filter on, all those additional decks/Collections will be dealt out without any of their cards restricted.

The PWR filter always uses the most recent/comprehensive stats from these lists:
4-ER EGIKWm http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=2677 (uses comprehensive)
 4-ER Fr http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=4012
 4-ER NL FL WA http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=3437
 4-ER Bi Cz O Pi Z http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=3447
3-ER http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=2692
2-ER http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=2693

If a BiCzEFLFrGIKNLOPiWaWmZ card is not on one of those lists, then we don't have stats on that card for that game size.  If the filter is turned on for that particular game size, then that card will be prevented from being dealt out (until some new version of stats has data). For solo games and 5-ER games, the system uses the 4-ER list.

The exception is banned cards from these lists:
"-11": http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=548
"-18": http://play-agricola.com/forums/index.php?topic=3581
All of the banned cards are assumed to have a PWR = 7.0. Therefore even if you uncheck the "-11" or "-18" check boxes but you set a PWR filter from say, 4-6, the banned cards will still not be dealt out. To get the banned cards dealt out with the filter on, you must set the high PWR limit to at least 7.0.

However the annoying/poorly implemented banned cards: Cz Seeress, E Rat Catcher,  FL Virtuous Hero, NL Grand Pensionary, NL Homo Ludens, NL Mink Breeder, NL School Master, NL Spittoon, NL Year of Diaster, WA Begging Letter, Z Mail Coach Driver, Z Maypole, Z Herald will never come out with the PWR Filter on.

Currently, this feature is only turned on for a few people's accounts. We're still testing it out. If it is turned on for your account, you will see a new button called [PWR Filter] just above the [Use Hand Variants] button (on main page where you create a game).

If anyone has any fun experiences using this feature, post a report here:

No, it will not. When I calculate statistics in the future, I will remove all games that used the PWR Filter from the calculation.

if the PWR filter is used alot, or more often by experienced players, that would mean messing with the PWR =)

I've played a few games with this filter on other people's games and have really enjoyed it. When you think it will be available for all to use? (I'd be a keen user of it!).

What figures are actually looked at for the pwr filter? i just played a game with 1.3 to 5, and somehow brags appeared as well?
it didn't really tilt the game in that player's favour, but just surprised it gets included.

Yea, Brags is PWR 5.0 according to the most recent stats. For 4-ER games, it uses the most recent stats (not most comprehensive) in this thread:

Might be a problem with the filter for some decks.

Yesterday played an all-decks Power 0-2 game, and some of the minors were clearly not supposed to be there--e.g. Begoune Courtyard.

If you read the first post in this thread, you will see that the Power Filter only removes cards from the decks EGIKW, it does not affect any other deck(s). Therefore if you add the FL-Deck to a game that is Power Filtered, all of the FL-Deck is still mixed in.

I updated the PWR Filter feature. It now filters all 14 published decks:
Bi Cz E FL Fr G I K NL O Pi Wa Wm Z
We have stats on all published cards for 4-ER. It still doesn't filter G4, G5, D, or Collections.

If you use the PWR filter in 2-ER or 3-ER, all cards without stats won't be dealt out. So basically, you won't get any cards outside of EFrGIKWm and some of those are missing too.

In 1-ER or 5-ER, the filter uses the 4-ER stats which are complete.

Additionally, I noticed that the PWR filter made the game take longer to start. I fixed that. A filtered game will start as fast an a non-filtered game now.
